"NYC raised me, Oakland taught me the game—this tape is the proof." Solid State Logic is the latest project from Illinger Inc.—a collaboration between phillipdrummond/Philthy (production) and Ammbush (Ammbaataa) (curation, track selection). This album is a sonic journey through the streets and landmarks that shaped us: Oakland’s Lake Merritt (home of #BeatCypherOAK), 23rd Ave. & International, and Eastmont Mall; alongside NYC’s Turtle Pond, Astor Place, and the legendary Wetlands, where we witnessed The Roots, X-Ecutioners, and 5th Platoon bring the heat.

After 22 years in the Town, this tape bridges both coasts—our game, our flavor, our culture. To celebrate, we’re throwing album release parties in San Francisco (4/23) and NYC (5/2)—come through, vibe with us, and support Today’s Future Sound, our nonprofit bringing therapeutic beat-making to youth.
